A very eventful week at Focus wrapped-up with our final College and Career Resource Fair at Focus East on Thursday (4/28). Students had one-on-one time to discuss what their potential future holds with companies like FedEx, Two Men & A Truck, Speedway, and UPS. Additionally, they learned more about higher education and tuition assistance opportunities with institutions like Columbus State, Harrison College, ITT Tech, The National Guard and Fortis College. The College and Career Resource Fairs continued for the students of Focus at Focus West on Wednesday, 4/27. Students were able to speak with representatives of many higher education institutions and employers that offer tuition programs to assist with life after their high school diploma. The College and Career Resource Fair is hosted by the Focus CTE department at each of the three Focus school locations, and continues today (4/28) at Focus East.
Focus hosted the first of three College and Career Resource Fairs at Focus North High School today (4/26). Area businesses and colleges were on hand to help our students learn more about the opportunities they have for higher education, tuition reimbursement, career training, and more. Coordinated by our CTE (Career & Technical Education) Department - the career fairs continue tomorrow for students at Focus West (4/27), and again on Thursday (4/28) at Focus East.
Ms. McFarland and the CTE/IT teachers from Focus North High School, Focus Learning Academy Southeast, Focus Learning Academy Southwest, and City Prep honored students from each school at the King Arts Complex on April 21st. Students were recognized for their achievements within Career and Technical Education and IT. A fabulous lunch, singing, keynote speaker, singing, and awards were on hand for all attendees. A fabulous time was had by all. Congrats to our students!
