WELCOME TO FOCUS LEARNING ACADEMY WEST

Focus Learning Academy West is a state-funded charter schools that help teens and young adults, ages freshman to 22, earn their high school diploma while preparing for the workforce or their aspirations of higher education.

Focus West is staffed with certified and highly qualified teachers that use online curriculum as a primary teaching tool that is complimented by core content pull out classes. This combination allows for one-on-one interaction with students, both in the classroom and in a lab setting. All courses offered meet the state standards.

Schools Closed Through May 1

Governor Mike DeWine announced that all schools in the state of Ohio will remain closed through May 1 in response to the continuous spread of COVID-19.

Fortunately, our Academic Services team has been preparing for the possibility of a long-term school closure. Up until this point, we have been operating under the Governor’s short-term closure order, which set an end date of Friday, April 3.

The Ohio State University is bringing a new program to the South Side! The Strengthening Families Program (10-14) is for 6th graders and their parent/caregiver. This program is open to all 6th grade families that live or go to school in the 43206/43207 zip codes.
